Welcome to the Packaging & Envelopes Ltd website. These Terms & Conditions apply to the use of this website. By accessing this website and/or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.

Using this website indicates that you accept these terms, regardless of whether or not you choose to register with us or place an order. If you do not accept these terms, please do not use this website.

1. Introduction

1.1 You will be able to access most areas of this website without registering your details with us. Certain areas of this website may only be available if you register an account.

1.2 We may revise these Terms & Conditions at any time by updating this page. You should check this page from time to time to review the current Terms & Conditions, as they are binding on you.

1.3 Certain provisions of these Terms & Conditions may be superseded by expressly designated legal notices or terms located on particular pages of this website.

1.4 If you do not wish to accept any updated Terms & Conditions, you should stop using this website.

1.5 Our online store is hosted using Shopify's ecommerce platform. Your use of any Shopify-provided functionality may also be subject to Shopify's applicable terms and policies.

2. Ordering From Us

2.1 You place an order with us by completing the online checkout process. During checkout, you will be given the opportunity to review your order and correct any errors before submitting it.

2.2 Once your order has been placed, we will send you an order acknowledgement by email, detailing the products you have ordered.

2.3 Our acceptance of your order takes place when we dispatch the goods. At this point, the purchase contract between you and Packaging & Envelopes Ltd is formed, even if your payment has been processed immediately, unless we have notified you that we do not accept your order or you have cancelled it.

2.4 We may refuse to accept an order where:

The goods are not available
We cannot obtain authorisation for your payment
There has been a pricing, stock, or product description error
You do not meet any eligibility criteria set out in these Terms & Conditions
We reasonably believe the order has been placed fraudulently or in breach of these Terms & Conditions

2.5 You agree to provide current, complete, and accurate purchase, billing, delivery, and account information and to update that information promptly where necessary so that we can process your order and contact you.

2.6 We may reasonably limit or cancel quantities purchased per person, household, account, payment method, billing address, delivery address, or order where necessary to manage stock, prevent fraud or misuse, or enforce an offer's terms. Where reasonably possible, we will notify you using the contact details supplied with the order.

2.7 We may limit or prohibit orders that we reasonably believe are placed by unauthorised dealers, resellers, or distributors.

3. Pricing

3.1 Product prices are shown on the website. Where prices are displayed excluding VAT, this will be clearly identified, and VAT will be calculated and shown separately. The total price payable, including applicable VAT and unavoidable charges, will be shown before you complete your order.

3.2 Delivery charges, packing charges, carriage, insurance, and any other relevant charges will be clearly shown or explained before you complete your order.

3.3 Prices are subject to change without notice, but a price change will not affect an order that we have already accepted.

3.4 If a product is listed at an incorrect price due to a typographical, technical, or pricing error, we may correct the error or refuse the order before it is accepted. If payment has already been taken for an order that we do not accept, we will refund the amount paid.

3.5 The welcome discount is valid on eligible plain-stock products only and excludes all Bespoke, Custom-Made, Personalised, and Printed items or services. The offer is available for a limited period and is subject to the additional terms displayed with the promotion.

3A. Discounts & Promotions

3A.1 From time to time, we may offer discounts, discount codes, promotional pricing, price reductions, or other promotional offers. All such discounts and promotions are subject to these Terms & Conditions and to any additional terms displayed or communicated with the relevant offer.

3A.2 Unless expressly stated otherwise, discounts and promotional offers are not valid on Bespoke, Custom-Made, Personalised, or Printed items or services.

3A.3 Discounts and promotional offers cannot be combined, stacked, or used in conjunction with any other discount code, promotion, price reduction, price promise, special pricing arrangement, or previously agreed discount unless expressly stated otherwise.

3A.4 All discounts and promotional offers are subject to availability. They may be limited to particular products, categories, customers, order values, sales channels, geographical locations, or promotional periods, and any stated eligibility criteria must be met.

3A.5 Subject to applicable law, we reserve the right to amend, suspend, extend, or withdraw any discount or promotional offer at any time. Any such amendment, suspension, extension, or withdrawal will not affect an order that we have already accepted, unless required by law or agreed with you.

3A.6 Discounts and promotional offers have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for cash or credit, and cannot be applied retrospectively unless expressly stated otherwise.

3A.7 We reserve the right to verify eligibility for a discount or promotional offer and to refuse or cancel its use where the eligibility criteria are not met, the offer has expired, or we reasonably believe it has been used fraudulently, improperly, or in breach of these Terms & Conditions.

3A.8 If a discount or promotional offer is published or applied in error, including because of a typographical, technical, pricing, or system error, we may correct the error or refuse or cancel the discount or offer before the relevant order is accepted. If payment has already been taken for an order that we do not accept, we will refund the amount paid.

3A.9 Unless expressly stated otherwise, discounts apply to the price of eligible products only and do not apply to VAT, delivery, packing, carriage, insurance, or any other charges.

3A.10 Where an asterisk (*) appears next to a discount, price, statement, or promotional offer, the offer is subject to the additional terms or exclusions identified by that asterisk. Those additional terms form part of these Terms & Conditions and must be read together with this Section 3A.

4. Cancellation, Returns & Refunds

4.1 If you wish to cancel or amend an order before dispatch, please contact us as soon as possible at shop@envelopes.co.uk. We will do our best to assist, but we cannot guarantee that an order can be changed once processing has begun.

4.2 If you are a consumer purchasing online, you normally have the right to cancel your order without giving a reason by notifying us within 14 days after the day on which you, or a person nominated by you other than the carrier, receives the goods.

4.3 After notifying us that you wish to cancel, you must return the goods without undue delay and no later than 14 days after the day on which you notified us.

4.4 To be eligible for a return, goods should be unused and, where possible, returned in their original condition and packaging. You may examine goods as you would in a shop, but we may make a deduction from the refund where handling beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics, and functioning of the goods has reduced their value.

4.5 Unless the goods are faulty, damaged, incorrect, or we agree otherwise, you are responsible for the direct cost of returning them. Please contact us before returning goods so that we can provide the correct return instructions.

4.6 The statutory right to cancel does not apply to goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised. This includes Bespoke, Custom-Made, Personalised, and Printed items produced specifically for you, except where those goods are faulty, not as described, or otherwise fail to meet your statutory rights.

4.7 Where a cancellation right applies, we will refund payments received from you, including the cost of our least expensive standard delivery option. We do not have to refund any additional cost resulting from your choice of a more expensive delivery method.

4.8 We will make any refund due without undue delay and normally no later than 14 days after we receive the returned goods or, if earlier, 14 days after you provide evidence that you have sent them back. Refunds will be made using the original payment method unless you expressly agree otherwise.

4.10 Nothing in this section affects your statutory rights, including your rights in relation to faulty, damaged, or misdescribed goods.

5. Delivery

5.1 Available delivery options, charges, and estimated delivery times are displayed on the relevant product page, our Delivery & Shipping page, and at checkout.

5.2 Orders may be fulfilled from our Cardiff warehouse, our European warehouse, or both, depending on stock availability. Where an order will be split or fulfilled from a different warehouse, the applicable delivery information and charges will be shown at checkout.

5.3 Orders received before 14:00 GMT from Monday to Friday are normally processed on the same working day. This excludes weekends and public holidays and does not guarantee same-day dispatch where products are unavailable, personalised, printed, bespoke, or subject to additional processing.

5.4 Delivery dates and times are estimates unless we have expressly agreed a guaranteed delivery date with you. Where consumer law applies, we will deliver without undue delay and no later than 30 days after the contract is entered into unless a different delivery period has been agreed.

5.5 We are not responsible for delays caused by couriers, adverse weather, busy periods, stock availability, customs checks, incorrect delivery information, or other circumstances outside our reasonable control. This does not affect any rights you may have under applicable law.

5.6 Where tracking is available, tracking details will be provided after dispatch. Split orders may have separate tracking information for each delivery.

6. Damaged, Incorrect Or Missing Items

6.1 Please inspect your order when it arrives and contact us as soon as reasonably possible if an item is defective, damaged, missing, or if you have received the wrong item.

6.2 Please include your order number and clear photographs of the issue where possible so that we can review it and put things right.

6.3 We may request that damaged or incorrect items are returned to us before a replacement, refund, or other resolution is provided. Where goods are faulty, damaged, or incorrect, we will bear reasonable return costs where required by law.

6.4 Nothing in this section limits your statutory rights.

7. Licence And Website Use

7.1 You are permitted to print and download extracts from this website for your own personal or internal business use, provided that:

No documents or related graphics are modified in any way
No graphics are used separately from accompanying text
Any copyright, trade mark, or other proprietary notices remain intact

7.2 Unless otherwise stated, the copyright and other intellectual property rights in all material on this website, including text, photographs, graphics, logos, icons, product information, and layout, are owned by us or our licensors.

7.3 No part of this website may be reproduced, stored, copied, republished, uploaded, posted, transmitted, or included in any public or private electronic retrieval system or service without our prior written permission.

7.4 Any rights not expressly granted in these Terms & Conditions are reserved.

8. Service Access

8.1 While we endeavour to ensure that this website is normally available, we do not guarantee uninterrupted access and will not be responsible for temporary unavailability caused by maintenance, repair, updates, system failure, or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

8.2 Access to this website may be suspended temporarily where reasonably necessary for security, maintenance, repair, updates, or operational reasons.

9. Website Content And Accuracy

9.1 We make reasonable efforts to ensure that product information, pricing, images, delivery information, stock information, and other website content are accurate and up to date.

9.2 Product colours, finishes, dimensions, and packaging may vary slightly from images shown due to screen settings, photography, supplier changes, manufacturing tolerances, or the nature of the materials used.

9.3 We reserve the right to correct errors and update information, but nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits our obligations or your rights under applicable law.

10.1 You must not misuse this website.

13.3 If you use products or this website for commercial, business, or resale purposes, we will not be responsible for loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption, or loss of business opportunity, except where such liability cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.

13.4 We are not responsible for loss or damage caused by events outside our reasonable control, but this does not affect any statutory rights or remedies available to you.

14. Force Majeure

14.1 We will not be responsible for a failure or delay in performing our obligations where caused by an event outside our reasonable control.

14.2 Such events may include courier disruption, strikes, severe weather, supply-chain delays, technical failures, fire, flood, accident, pandemic, government action, customs delays, or similar events outside our reasonable control.

14.3 Where an event outside our reasonable control materially affects your order, we will contact you as soon as reasonably possible and take reasonable steps to minimise the effect. Your statutory cancellation and refund rights remain unaffected.

15. Governing Law

15.1 These Terms & Conditions and any contract between you and us are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

15.2 If you are a consumer, you may bring legal proceedings in the courts that have jurisdiction under applicable consumer law. If you are acting in the course of business, the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction.

16. Accounts And Registration

16.1 If you create an account, you must provide accurate information and keep your account details up to date.

16.2 You are responsible for keeping your username, password, and other account credentials confidential. Please contact us promptly if you know or suspect that somebody else has accessed your account without permission.

16.3 You must not share an account in a way that compromises its security or use another person's account without permission.

16.4 You must be at least 18 years old, or otherwise have legal capacity to enter into a contract, to create an account or place an order.

20.3 These Terms & Conditions, together with the policies and terms expressly referred to in them, form the agreement between you and us concerning your use of the website and purchases from us.

20.4 You may not assign or transfer your rights under these Terms & Conditions without our written consent. We may transfer our rights and obligations as part of a business transfer or reorganisation, provided that doing so does not reduce your rights.

20.5 Unless expressly stated otherwise, a person who is not a party to a contract between you and us has no right to enforce its terms under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.
